Red Lion Loft is situated on an elevated site, in the Sherwood Forest conservation village of Old Blidworth, accessed by a private driveway. The village has a good selection of pubs, take-a-ways, shops including Tesco Express, Coop & speciality food shops, post office, chemist, filling station, repair garages, doctors & a chemist.  

Red Lion Loft is a first floor loft apartment & is unfortunately not suitable for disabled persons.

Newark – East Coast mainline – distance 17 miles (30 minutes)

We do not set out to provide accommodation for disabled persons including the blind and deaf.

The local Tesco Express, 5 minutes on foot, is open from 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.

The Coop store in the village is open from 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Keys

The owners live in the adjacent property and will be on hand to deliver & collect keys upon guest arrival.

Guests will be given a familiarisation tour of the property by the owners

Secure, dedicated parking is available on site, immediately adjacent to the entrance door to the property

The parking area is tarmac and the short pathway to the property is paved

The property is well lit at night by outside wall lights activated by remote sensor

Single step, no ramp provided, traditional staircase from entrance hall to first floor apartment – not suitable for disabled persons

Access door width is 32 inches (82 cm)

Outside is lit by light sensor activated wall lights, property is well lit with ceiling downlighters & a torch for emergencies is provided in the hallway.

Entrance hall has wood laminate flooring, staircase, living room & bedroom is carpeted with short pile quality carpet, kitchen area & bathroom are tiled.

A washing machine & iron & ironing board is provided in an under stairs cupboard

Staircase is carpeted, has hand rail and 14 steps

All areas lit with downlighters

Passageways are 32 inches (82 cm), the floors are level throughout

The lounge area is at the front of the property facing west, entrance door width is 30 inches (76 cm)

There is ample space between furniture which consists of a large sofa, dining & occasional tables & chairs.

There is a dining table & 2 dining chairs without arms. The table height is 32 inches (80 cm)

The layout of the furniture is fixed

There is a modern TV with Freeview and a DVD player (instructions provided)
